Almost tame crested pigeons wander the park. You might even spot the resident mopokes or frill necked lizards in their almost perfect camouflage amongst the shade trees. Brilliant green tree frogs also pop up in the most unexpected places. The fishing around the rocks, peaceful lagoon and ocean is hard to beat with many prized species such as mangrove jack, bluebone, mackerel, bream and snapper in abundance. Delicious mangrove crabs are also plentiful and even the most inexperienced fishers have normally been able to get a taste of this delicacy.
